A Sangguniang Bayan member has proposed a resolution to declare local social media influencers Rosemarie “Rosmar” Peñamora Tan and Rendon Labador persona non grata after a viral incident at the town mayor’s office sparked controversy.

The resolution, set to be presented at the next regular session, was shared on Facebook by Juan Patricio Eyes.
“Coronians, ito na po ang resolution na ihahain sa next regular session declaring Rosmar and Rendon Labador persona non-grata in the municipality of Coron,” Eyes wrote in his post.

Eyes highlighted the disrespectful confrontation by Labador towards Jho Cayabyab Trinidad, an employee of the Vice Mayor’s Office, which occurred publicly.

“Jho Cayabyab Trinidad I suggest mag reklamo sa appropriate venues/agencies against these people,” he wrote. He also noted Tan’s statement, “Never again Coron, Palawan,” on Facebook, which he claims further damaged the town’s reputation by “contributing to negative publicity and tarnishing the image of the municipality.”
The incident began when Tan and Labador on Friday, June 14, stormed the office of Mayor Marjo Reyes, who was away in Puerto Princesa, to address a negative comment from Trinidad.

Trinidad accused the influencers of exploiting the local community for their vlogs.

Eyes have urged Trinidad to file a formal complaint against Tan and Labrador and called on local officials to support her if she pursues legal action.

“I would like to strongly recommend to my fellow legislators, VM Ashian and Mayor Marjo, that we provide Ms. Jho Cayabyab Trinidad with whatever assistance she needs should she decide to file appropriate charges against Labador and Rosmar,” he added.

The mayor’s office announced an investigation, emphasizing the importance of responsible social media use and adherence to legal processes.

Labador, a content creator and self-proclaimed motivational speaker, is notorious for his provocative posts and comments on social media.

Tan, a TikTok star and entrepreneur, gained significant attention online after revealing in an interview that her daily earnings range from P5 million to P13 million.
