The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Palawan 3rd District Engineering Office (DEO) has successfully concluded the construction of a local road in Barangay Sta. Cruz, within the city limits of Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

Spanning a distance of 0.918 kilometers, the newly built road effectively connects the neighboring areas of Calatubog and Parang in Barangay Sta. Cruz to the existing road network, with further connectivity to the Puerto Princesa North Road.

This expansive 14.6-meter-wide roadway is anticipated to bring significant advantages to the nearby communities. It will notably simplify the journeys of local residents commuting to and from the city center, and additionally facilitate the seamless transportation of goods from the community to the market.

This development is poised to invigorate the socioeconomic landscape of the region.

The project forms a crucial component of the national development initiative, seeking to furnish each Filipino citizen with dependable, secure, and high-quality road access.

As this newly built road stands, its impact is expected to resonate far into the future, contributing to the ongoing transformation of Puerto Princesa City and its surrounding areas.
