As the country shifts its gear for tourism industry players, the Municipality of El Nido with the initiative of its municipal tourism office launches “El Nido Travel Expo,” a tourism marketing program that brings their tourism partners and suppliers to Puerto Princesa to help boost its tourism sector.
“This is a tourism marketing and promotion program initiative of LGU El Nido through the municipal tourism office in partnership with SM City Puerto Princesa, nagdala po kami ng aming mga partners and suppliers from the Municipality of El Nido where they can sell tourism products and services sa ating touristang Palaweño,” Municipal Tourism officer Sharmaine Dela Cruz-Hadji Nur said in an interview.
In terms of compliance with the Department of Tourism accreditation, the municipality has 150 establishments that have been accredited as of this day.
“We are also happy to report since pandemic, grabe ‘yung compliance namin sa DOT from less than 50 establishment DOT accredited nag shoot up kame this month to 150 establishment, mataas po yun sa boong pilipinas nasa top list kame, ok po ang compliance namin,” Nur added
Municipal Administrator Raffy Cabate read the statement of El Nido mayor Edna Gacot-Lim, saying the municipality is about to reach 70% of the herd immunity population by December 2021.
“Ngayon sasapit na ang pasko we are about to reach 70% herd immunity population by December this year, we are looking forward by the start of December ay muling sisigla ang El Nido at ang probinsya ng Palawan in general,” Mayor Lim said in a statement read by the municipal administrator.
The expo offers exciting promos and discounts that will last until November 26, 2021 at SM Puerto Princesa City.
