“I’m 76 years old, my experience in business is more than 50 years old, tapos itong mag criticize sa akin wala pang 30-35 years old na walang pinanggalingan, walang experience, so bakit ko sasagutin, ‘di ba waste of time, samantalang sabi ko makikita naman sa performance kung may nagawa ako o wala, I don’t to have highlight what I have done,” ani Alvarez

“Over the years what I have done contributed to Palawan being named the best island in the whole world, kasi mga contributory to ospital, tubig, kalsada, this contributed to being nominated as being best island, not in the whole Philippines but in the whole world, ‘yan lang is good enough for me to sleep soundly at night, that I found satisfaction in what I do na tama pala ang ginawa ko, although hindi taga Palawan ang nagsasabi, ‘pag election naman marami naman bumoboto sa akin, itong nag cri-criticize sa akin hindi naman bumoboto sa akin kasi karamihan taga City,” Sabi pa ni Alvarez.

“With that as it may, forget and I forgive them coz I am not the person na pag tinira ako, pag inatake ako or binasher ako di ako sasagot, siguro sa ilonggo ka-ugtas sila di ko sinasagot eh, bakit? Eh siyempre waste of time eh, dahil minsan yung sinasabi nila eh below the belt or walang katuturan, walang kuturan talaga,” Dagdag pa ng Gobernador.

“In the last 7 years that I have been here plus 1 and half mag nine year ako dito I could have skipped this part of my life, I’m already a made man, meron na akong kinita, meron na akong nakatago para sa safety at continuance ng aking pamilya, I could have retired peacefully and you know, roam around the world and enjoy, but I don’t enjoy roaming around the world and spending money, I enjoy doing something which I believe  eventually will help the poor, and Palawan is the place where napaka marami pang mahihirap,” sabi pa ni Gob. Alvarez.

“Mangyayari ang plebisito, mangyari talaga dahil we have 15 months to go ang tagal bago magka-election.
