Itinaas ng PHIVOLCS ang paunang magnitude reading ng lindol na tumama sa karagatang sakop ng Palawan ngayong alas-2 ng hapon, Hunyo 11.

Ang lindol ay naitala na may lakas na Magnitude 5.1 at may epicenter na 99 km sa timog-silangan ng bayan ng Roxas, sa hilaga ng Puerto Princesa.

Batay sa pinakasariwang mga detalye mula sa PHIVOLCS, umabot sa 26 km ang lalim ng focus ng lindol at tectonic ang pinagmulan nito. Naitala ang mga sumusunod na intensity sa iba’t ibang lugar:
Intensity III: Roxas, Palawan
Intensity I: Cuyo at Narra, Palawan

Base sa tala ng PHILVOCS, bagaman ay mahina, ito na ang pang-anim na naitalang lindol sa Palawan. Ang unang lindol na naitala ay nangyari sa Suba, Cuyo noong 1996, sinundan ng lindol sa Araceli noong 1988, sumunod sa bayan ng Sofronio Española noong 2003, sinundan naman sa Puerto Princesa noong 2007, at sa Tumarbong, Roxas noong 2014.

Pinapayuhan ang mga kababayan natin sa Palawan na mag-ingat, bagamat walang inaasahang significant damage mula sa lindol, inaasahan ang mga aftershock. Patuloy na magbantay at sundin ang mga abiso mula sa mga awtoridad.
