The Naval Forces West (NFW) uplifted the spirits of military personnel stationed in the Kalayaan Island Group, West Philippine Sea, and the community in Pag Asa Island.

The initiative, carried out by the naval ships BRP Jose Rizal (FF 150) and BRP Gregorio Del Pilar (PS 15) during Rotation and Reprovision operations, included Maritime Patrol and Sovereignty Patrol activities from December 11 to 18.

The Philippine Navy stalwarts, BRP Jose Rizal and BRP Gregorio Del Pilar, played a crucial role in ferrying Christmas goodies from various organizations across the country to the troops and community in the West Philippine Sea.

Contributions from organizations like ATIN ITO Coalition, The National Youth Movement for the WPS, Rise Against Hunger, Las Piñas Horton Eagles Club, and local financial institutions such as PAFCPIC, ACDI, AMSWLAI, and PNSLAI made this initiative a reality.

ATIN ITO Coalition, particularly noteworthy, demonstrated their commitment to the nation’s legitimate territorial claim in the West Philippine Sea by initiating this effort in October and embarking on their inaugural journey to the region.

Naval Forces West extends heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, organizations, and partner stakeholders, emphasizing the success of the project as a testament to the impact of united community support on the lives of those in the far-flung areas.

The Rotation and Reprovision operations, coupled with Maritime Patrol and Sovereignty Patrol, showcased strategic coordination within the naval forces, emphasizing NFW’s commitment to a strong and secure presence in the WPS.
