One Palawan, nagsagawa ng grand motorcade sa El Nido

Umabot sa mahigit 300 katao ang nakilahok sa malakihang motorcade na ikinasa ng mga tumututol sa paghahati ng Palawan ngayong hapon sa Bayan ng El Nido.

Sama-sama sa aktibidad ang Simbahan, civil society, iba’t ibang mga religious organization at ang nga mamamayan ng Bayan ng El Nido.

Ayon sa organizer ng One Palawan Movement sa Bayan ng El Nido na si Renato Tenorio Jr., nagsimula ang kanilang motorcade kaninang 1 pm sa Lio Villa Libertad papuntang bayan at hanggang Sitio Bobolongan. Pagkatapos nito ay bumalik sila sa town proper para sa programa na kanilang isinagawa sa Estella Mariz sa tabi ng Simbahang Katolika.

“Sobrang nakaiiyak! Di ko akalain na ang daming sasama. Ang haba ng motorcade sa dami ng sasakyan at motor,” ani Tenorio.

Ayon naman kay Save Palawan Movement co-convener Cynthia Sumagaysay-del Rosario, “Nakakapanindig balahibo ang suporta sa adhikain ng One Palawan.”

Samantala, maliban sa El Nido ay may mga munisipyo na ring naunan nang nakapagsagawa ng motorcade at programa upang maipakita ang labis na pagtututol sa division of Palawan habang ngayong araw ay nagkaroon din ng mga kahalintulad na aktibidad gaya ng sa Bayan ng Dumaran, Brooke’s Point, Coron, at Aborlan.

“Kung nakita mo ang ginanap na motorcade sa Brooke’s [Point], ang lugar na magiging kapital sa sur na sinasabi ng mayora roon ay magiging solid ‘Yes!’, mukhang nagkakamali s’ya,” ani del Rosario.
