In a noteworthy development aimed at enhancing the social security and well-being of senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), the Palawan government has extended its financial assistance and pension program to include residents of Linapacan.
The payout, held on May 3-5, has benefitted 88 senior citizens and 53 PWDs, signifying a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and ensuring their economic stability and quality of life.
Under the extended program, eligible senior citizens and PWDs in Linapacan will receive a monthly pension from the government.
The pension amount has been thoughtfully determined, taking into account factors such as income levels, living expenses, and individual circumstances, with the aim of providing fair and equitable financial support.
By including Linapacan in the program, the Palawan government aims to bridge the gap and ensure that all citizens, regardless of their location, have access to essential support systems.
To facilitate the efficient distribution of financial assistance and pensions, representatives from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) headed the distribution in Linapacan.
The additional funds will enable beneficiaries to address healthcare expenses, cover daily living costs, and improve their overall quality of life.
The extension of the financial assistance and pension program to Linapacan demonstrates the Palawan government’s dedication to ensuring the welfare and dignity of its senior citizens and PWDs.
By prioritizing their needs and striving for inclusivity, Palawan aims to foster a society that values and uplifts all of its members, regardless of age or ability.
