PDRMO head na si Alili, dumepensa sa paratang laban sa kanya

Dumepensa si Jerry Alili, ang Provincial Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office Head at itinalagang Palawan Emergency Operations Center Manager sa isyu ng umano’y pagiging arogante nito sa ilang frontliners sa isang checkpoint sa bayan ng Narra.

Sa sesyon ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan kahapon, June 30, tinanong ni Board Member Ryan Maminta  si Alili bago matapos ang question and answer hour para mabigyan ng linaw ang isang blind item na kumalat sa social media.

Inamin naman ni Alili na siya ang tinutukoy sa nasabing blind item kasunod ang paliwanag na totoo umanong nangyari ito sa isang checkpoint sa bayan ng Narra.

“I admit na ako po ‘yon and this is part of the routine at medyo na-sensationalize lang sa media. As part of the routine, I do this regularly… Sometime with the PNP, sometime with the Coast Guard and sometimes, all by myself,” tugon ni Alili sa tanong ni Board Member Maminta.

Dagdag pa ng EOC manager na nais n’ya lamang malaman kung alam ba talaga ng mga frontliners ang kanilang ginagawa kaya tinanong niya ito kahit pa alam n’ya naman ang sagot na parte ng kanyang trabaho.

May mga reports kasi anya itong natatanggap na may ilang insidente na nagkakaroon ng problema sa mga checkpoints na nagiging dahilan ng pagbagal sa serbisyo ng pamahalaan.

“Ang tanong ko is bakit kailangang mag-logbook at sinagot lang po ako na… basta po bumaba kayo at mag-logbook. ‘Yon ang medyo negative ang naging dating sa akin… with me, using a marked vehicle. Hindi rin po totoo ‘yong nakalagay doon na wala akong mask. Naka-mask po ako at ibinaba ko lang ang mask dahil nagpakita ako ng ID, nagpakilala ako na ako ang EOC manager at ako ang secretariat ng IATF at PDRRMO dahil alam kong bago ‘yong personnel,”

Dahil sa narinig na sagot ng mga lokal na mambabatas, iminungkahi ni Board Member Cesario Benedito na ipatawag sa susunod na sesyon ang ilang indibidwal para makuha ang kanilang panig sa usapin at tuluyan nang matapos ang isyu.

Pero makalipas ang ilang minuto ay binawi din nito ang naunang mosyon at sinabing ipagpapaliban na muna nito ang mungkahing ipatawag ang ilang indibidwal sa kanilang sesyon.

Sinabi naman ni Board Member Maminta na kailangang maliwanagan ang usapin upang hindi maapektuhan ang mga ginagawa ng pamahalaang panlalawigan sa laban kontra COVID-19.

“Ayaw nating humaba ang isyu na ito at masisira ang ating efforts towards fighting against an invisible enemy called COVID-19,” apela ni Maminta.
