Peso Palawan hailed as MIMAROPA’s regional best peso

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Palawan was awarded as the best PESO in the MIMAROPA Region by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) during the recently concluded 1st DOLE – PESO Regional Year-End Performance Assessment 2023 held in The Summit Ridge, Tagaytay City on March 8.

The plaque of recognition was received by Provincial PESO OIC Orphy Ordanio given by DOLW Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, Undersecretary Ciriaco Lagunzad III from the General Administration and Regional Operations Cluster and OIC-Undersecretary Dominique Rubia- Tutay, CESO III of the TUPAD assistance program under DOLE.

 

Ordinario said that the award was a result of their excellent performance under the agency’s mandate of providing referral and placement services for local and overseas as well as private and public employment, as well as the continuous efforts and programs made by Palawan PESO such as conducting province-wide job fairs, constant focused in developing programs under the Special Program for Employment Students (SPES) as well as the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displace Workers (TUPAD) Program in the province, and their full implementation of the DOLE Core Services for the year 2022.

 

“Basically we got the award for our programs sa PESO, job fairs, SPES implementation, implementation of TUPAD Program in Palawan,” Ordinario said.
