PHO: Bagong COVID-positive patient na taga-Palawan, nasa Metro Manila at wala dito sa lalawigan

PHO: Bagong COVID-positive patient na taga-Palawan, nasa Metro Manila at wala dito sa lalawigan

Pinawi ng pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Palawan ang pangamba ng publiko matapos lumabas sa COVID-19 tracker ng Department of Health na nadagdagan ng isa ang nagpositibo sa Coronavirus Disease 2019 sa probinsya.

Base sa online COVID-19 tracker ng DOH, dalawa na ang confirmed cases sa Palawan kung saan ang isa ay ang Australian National na nakauwi na sa kanyang bansa bago pa man lumabas ang test result nito mula sa RITM at nadagdagan naman ng isa pa Miyerkules ng hapon, April 15.

Sa inilabas na press release ng Palawan Provincial Information Office, nilinaw ni Provincial Health Officer, Dra. Mary Ann Navarro na wala sa Palawan ang pasyente kundi sa Ospital ng Maynila ito kasalukuyang naka-admit dahil sa COVID-19.

Dagdag pa ni Navarro na sa Quezon City nakatira ang pasyente subalit Palawan ang ginamit nitong address nang ma-admit sa ospital kung kaya’t naidagdag ito sa listahan ng nagpositibo sa lalawigan ng Palawan.

Dagdag pa ng opisyal, ang DOH MIMAROPA na mismo ang nakikipag-ugnayan sa DOH National upang hindi maibilang sa Palawan ang naturang nagpositibo sa COVID-19 dahil hindi naman ito actual patient sa probinsya.

Samantala, kinumpirma naman ni Dra. Navarro na namatay na kagabi, April 15 ang isang probable COVID-19 patient dito sa lalawigan na naka-admit sa isang ospital subalit hindi pa lumalabas ang resulta ng swab test nito mula sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

Matatandaan na una nang sinabi ni DOH MIMAROPA Regional Director Dr. Mario Baquilod na bini-verify parin nila ang nasabing ulat.

“We’re still verifying this report, hoping my RESU will give me updates tomorrow morning,” ani Baquilod sa pamamagitan ng text message sa PDN.

Kaugnay nito, patuloy ang panawagan ng PHO na huwag magpanic ang mga Palaweño pero dapat pa ring mag-ingat at sundin ang mga ipinag-uutos ng pamahalaan upang maiwasan ang transmission ng nasabing virus.
