The Philippine National Police in Palawan assured the public that it will uphold its mandate to ensure a peaceful plebiscite on March 13, 2021.
Police Colonel Frederick E. Obar, the Director of Provincial Police Office, assured the members of the 43rd Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Palawan during his courtesy call in the 76th regular session that the task force together with the Arm Forces of the Philippines and other law enforcement agencies have already laid out a security plan.
“Our main task will be in securing that event. We have laid down the security plan, our deployment plan. And the security plan is actually a joint task force with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the Phillipine Coast Guard (PCG) and other law enforcement units operating here in Palawan. So mayroon na po tayong plano. So what we are doing now is adjust, adjust, adjust. Depende po sa timelines na ibibigay po sa atin ng comelec, so rest assured that on the day day of the plebiscite we will be ready to give the security coverage that the plebiscite requires us” said PCOL Obar.
