The Canonical Possession and Rite of Installation of His Excellency Most Reverend Broderick S. Pabillo as a Vicar Apostolic were conducted at St. Joseph The Worker Cathedral Parish on Thursday, August 19.

According to Pabillo, it was a miracle of God that he was able to return to Palawan to serve. It was also a miracle that even with a pandemic there was an installation.

He said, his installation became just “all Palawan affair”. The celebration became simpler and more of a “family affair”.

Pabillo expressed his gratitude to the former Bishop of Taytay, Bishop Edgardo Juanich who was present at his installation as well as to Bishop Socrates C. Mesiona of Puerto Princesa City and other Priests.

The Bishop also expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the Provincial, City and Municipal Governments, but Pabillo also said that they may hear comments from him and hopefully they will only be ‘professional’ and ‘mature’.

He stressed.

It will be recalled that on June 29, 2021, Bishop Pabillo was appointed by Pope Francis as a Vicar Apostolic of Taytay. He has been serving as Manila Auxiliary Bishop since 2006 and was a priest at St. Ezekiel Moreno Parish in Puerto Princesa City on 1982.
