The Special Recruitment Activity (SRA) successfully processed and accepted 11 applicants from Palawan bound for China, South Africa, and four Middle East countries—-Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.
Mayonview International conducted its SRA on October 21-22 and recruited architects, engineers, electricians and skilled workers. The SRA was facilitated by the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
On October 24, the provincial government also facilitated the SRA of ARDCI Microfinance for the hiring of bookkeepers, cashiers and Community Development Officers.
Yesterday, MIP International Manpower Services, Inc. conducted its SRA at the Capitol Pavilion at the provincial capitol. The agency recruited factory workers and caregivers bound for Taiwan, domestic helpers bound for Malaysia, and nurses for deployment in Singapore.
“Hangarin ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Palawan sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Gob. Jose Ch. Alvarez na matugunan ang pangangailangan sa trabaho ng mga Palaweño. Sa pamamagitan ng SRA ay nadadala sa Palawan ang mga kompanya galing sa ibang lugar upang makapangalap ng mga manggagawa,” the Provincial Government said in a statement.
On October 9, 2019 during the 19th National PESO Congress in SMX Convention Center in SM Bacolod City, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through Secretary Silvestre Bello III recognized Palawan Provincial PESO as top PESO User and PHILJobNet advocate.
The Public Employment Service Office Managers Association of the Philippines (PESOMAP) also conferred Service Award to provincial PESO manager, Richard Rebote for his important contribution to PESOMAP from 2017 to 2019.
PHILJobNet is an automated job and applicant matching system which aims to fast-track jobseekers search for jobs and employers search for manpower. It is the country’s official web-based labor market information.
The DOLE and PESOMAP lauded the provincial government’s effort in job facilitation that has been instrumental in facilitating the employment of jobseekers in Palawan.
