Zero billing sa Bataraza Medicare Hospital, isinusulong ni Mayor Abe Ibba

Kasabay nang pagbubukas ng Bataraza Medicare Hospital noong Nobyembre 10, sabay ding isinusulong ni Mayor Abraham Ibba, alkalde ng bayan ng Bataraza, ang pangkalusugang programang pagkakaroon ng “Universal Health Card” ng mga residente ng nasabing bayan.

Ang Universal Health Card, ayon sa alkalde, ay eksklusibong benepisyo na nakalaan para lamang sa mga tunay na residente ng nasabing munisipyo na mangagaling sa Local Government Unit (LGU).

Layon ng programang ito ang tulungan ang bawat residente ng Bataraza sa mga gastusing maari nilang makaharap sa pagpapagamot at pagpapa-ospital sa Bataraza Medicare Hospital.

“Iyon ang plano natin dito sa Bataraza Medicare Hospital natin, na ang lahat nang ating mga kababayan ay paghahainan natin ng Philhealth o Universal Health Card, ang plano natin sa ating hospital, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang Philhealth at Universal Health Card, ang mga gastusin na matitira matapos nilang gamitin ang kanilang Philhealth ay sasagutin ng buo ng LGU,” ani ni Ibba.

“So magiging zero billing na,” dagdag niya.

Ang Universal Health Card na magmumula sa LGU, ayon sa alkalde, ay magmimistulang kaakibat ng Philhealth card na ang layun ay mabawasan ang gastusin o hospital bill ng isang residente na maaring mangailangan ng agarang gamutan.

Bagaman libre nang makakapag-pagamot ang mga residente ng Bataraza, ang Universal Health Card ay eksklusibong magagamit lamang sa Bataraza Medicare Hospital.

“Kasi dati, ang ginagawa natin, ‘yung ating mga medical assistance ay para sa mga private hospitals ng Brooke’s Point. Pero ngayon ay meron na tayong sariling Bataraza District Hospital, ililipat na natin lahat dito,” anya ni Ibba.

Bagaman hindi na magiging saklaw ng isinusulong na Universal Health Card ang sinomang residente na mako-confine sa private hospitals labas ng Bataraza, handa pa rin daw umanong magbigay ng tulong-pinansyal ang LGU para sa mga ito.

“So ‘yun ay hindi na natin hagip dito pero siguro kung may mga ganoon makakatulong pa rin tayo pero hindi na ‘yung buong 100%, financial assistance nalang para sa kanilang bill,” ani ni Ibba.

Iginiit din ng alkalde na popondohan ng LGU ang programang ito ng P30-P50 milyon kada taon.

Ang programang mabigyan ng Universal Health Card ang mga residente ay parte ng layunin ni Ibba na mai-upgrade ang kaantasan ng munisipyo sa aspekto ng Kalusugan, Sports and Development, Financial Development at Peace and Order.
