Calamianes Islands to open Point-to-Point Bubble Tourism; Coron tourism starts gradual re-opening

As agreed at the Busuanga Coron Culion Linapacan (BCCL) Meeting held on August 24, 2021, the entire Calamianes will open under the Point-to-Point Bubble Tourism program, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Coron said via their Public Information Office social media.

According to the LGU, the Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF) members approved the said gradual re-opening of tourism in Coron starting today, September 22, 2021.

In this regard, the summary of Executive Order No. 117 regarding Leisure Travel in the Town of Coron:

1. Coron is open to tourism under the Point-to-Point Bubble Tourism Program for tourists coming from outside Palawan on chartered or commercial flights that can be attended by interested establishments that can comply with the requirements contained in Executive Order No. 117.

To enter the municipality, the requirements are vaccination card as proof that the tourist is fully vaccinated, negative QR coded RT PCR test result conducted within 48 hours, confirmed accommodation booking approved S-Pass travel application.

2. Open to the residents of Palawan.

The requirements are valid ID (Proof of residency), Vaccination Card (Fully vaccinated), negative Antigen Test result conducted within 24 hours, confirmed accommodation/tour booking approved S-Pass travel application.

On November 15, 2021, the town is scheduled to accept tourists from all over the Philippines and all licensed and DOT accredited enterprises will be allowed to operate.

Meanwhile, under the Point-to-Point Bubble Tourism Program, the permitted island resorts and all licensed and DOT accredited enterprises are also allowed to operate.
