The Island Garden City of Samal on Tuesday, February 22, personally turned over P200,000 cash assistance to the Provincial Government of Palawan as an aid for Palaweno Odette victims.
The said donation was given by Island Garden City’s Local Risk Reduction and Management Officer James Rafailes and was received by Office of the Governor Chief Sammy Magbanua.
According to a press release from Palawan Provincial Information Office (PIO) the cash assistance was under the initiative of Island Garden City Mayor Al David Uy and Vice Mayor Richard Guindolman.
The provincial government expressed their gratitude towards the monetary donation from Island Garden City.
The cash assistance is expected to be added to the ongoing distribution of ayuda and cash grants for Odette affected Palawenos in the town of Roxas.
