Palawan, pinaghahandaan na ang pagbuhay sa turismo ng isla

Sinimulan na ng Provincial Government ang paghahanda para sa muling pagbubukas ng turismo sa buong lalawigan na pangunahing naapektuhan ng umiiral na community quarantine dulot ng COVID-19.

Sa press release na inilabas ng Provincial Information Office, ibinahagi ni Provincial Tourism Officer Maribel Buñi ang inilatag na “recovery plan” para sa industriya ng turismo sa Palawan na naka-sentro sa domestic at lokal na turista.

Ayon kay Buñi, maliban sa pag-focus sa domestic tourists ay handa rin ang pamahalaang panlalawigan na tulungan ang mga empleyado na nasa ilalim ng industriya ng turismo kasama na ang nasa sektor ng agrikultura at pangisda.

“Titingnan natin ‘yong product development side, ano ‘yong mga produkto na pwede i-cater, kasi for now, we have domestic tourists diba. Ano ‘yong mga produkto na pupwede nating i-diversify na maaaring i-cater ng ating mga local or domestic tourists, so as long as product development is concern, dapat makapagplano rin tayo,” ani Buñi sa inilabas na press release ng Palawan PIO.

Sinabi pa ng opisyal na mahalagang matiyak na angkop ang mga ipatutupad na polisiya sa nasabing plano base sa kasalukuyang estado ng bansa sa ilalim ng tinatawag na ‘new normal’.

“Dapat matingnan ‘yong mga polisiya, ‘yong mga policies on carrying capacity, environmental management system, solid waste management at safety, ‘yon ang mga magandang tingnan,” dagdag ng opisyal.

Samantala, lalo rin anya nilang palalakasin ang ginagawang ‘marketing and promotion’ upang lalo pang makilala ang Palawan sa oras na bumalik na ang industriya ng turismo sa probinsya.
