The Municipality of San Vicente recently launched their online registration to expedite the immunization program against COVID-19.

According to the Municipal Health Office (MHO), through this, individuals who want to receive the vaccine shot can register easily and all registrants will receive a message when and where they will be vaccinated.

Aside from the online registration, the vaccination team of MHO will also conduct vaccinations in the Sitios of the said town.

Currently, the MHO has recorded 8,717 vaccinated individuals. Of this number, 5,313 were fully vaccinated or equivalent to 25% of the total target population for vaccination roll-out.

3,404 individuals are waiting for their schedule for the second dose to have complete protection against COVID-19.

Dra. Mercy Grace Pablico said, one of the positive effects of the vaccination is the decreasing number of those hospitalized due to the infections of the virus.

Pablico explained.

She also continues to encourage residents including senior citizens to take part in vaccination especially that there is a threat of the Delta variant.

Pablico added that the percentage of vaccine recipients aged 60 and above or those in the priority group A2 category is still low.

The municipality is targeting 21,167 eligible residents aged 18 and above to be vaccinated.
