Six suspects were arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation in Barangay Princess Urduja, Narra, Palawan, 10:00 P.M. yesterday by the Narra Municipal Police operatives and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU).
The suspects were identified as Rodolfo Villanueva, 55; Oliver Angad, 27; Jovesie Piñafiel Lopez, 56; Emmanuel Villaranre, 43; Rustom Limon Alvarez, 19; and Winnard Estanislao, 22, all residents of Barangay Antipuluan.
Confiscated from their possession were seven pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, three pieces of plastic sachets containing marijuana, a cigarette stick believed to be also containing dried marijuana leaves and the P500 bill that served as marked money.
According to the case investigator, Police Staff Sergeant Oliver Lagan, the said suspects were under police surveillance for a long time. “Matagal na silang minamanmanan at kagabi lang namin natiyempuhan at nahuli,” Lagan said in an interview.
All six suspects and seized items are now under the custody of Narra Municipal Police Station and charges for selling illegal drugs under Violation of Republic Act 9165 (Buy-bust) or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them.
