Pope’s rep to PH set to visit Puerto Princesa

Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, is set to visit Puerto Princesa to preside a Holy Mass for the 6th Bugsayan on November 30 at Puerto Princesa City Coliseum.

He will be joined by Bishop Socrates Mesiona, Bishop Valentin Dimoc who is the President of CBCP- Episcopal Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Bishop-Emeritus Pedro Arigo, Bishop-Emeritus Edgardo Juanich and the Clergy of Vicariates of Puerto Princesa and Taytay.

Bugsayan is an annual gathering of the Catholic faithful in Puerto Princesa and Southern Palawan. Being the Papal Ambassador, he is set to conduct fellowship dialogues with some local officials during his visit.

Caccia has served as Papal Nuncio in the Philippines since 2017. He was recently appointed by Pope Francis as a Permanent Observer to the United Nations starting January 16, 2020 in New York.
