The only Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) accredited safety training organization in MIMAROPA, Petrosphere Incorporated has been offering the mandatory safety courses since July 2017 up to the present.
According to Jeffrey Gealon, operations manager, Petrosphere is offering basic and advanced safety courses as mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) every month in Puerto Princesa City and various key locations nationwide.
“We offer these courses as part of our approved accreditation from the OSH Center,” said Mr. Gealon.
“And we make these courses affordable to all our participants.”
Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Construction Safety and Health (COSH) are basic safety courses that are required by DOLE. Safety officers who are currently working in respective establishment or construction project should take the mentioned course, specifically the BOSH.
COSH, on the other hand is required in construction projects.
BOSH and COSH courses are both 40-hr course each and can be taken every month in Petrosphere.
Advanced safety courses include Loss Control Management, Behavior Based Safety Training and Safety Program Audit. These courses are also required for those who are applying for the accreditation in the OSH Center.
Private companies including local government units in some municipalities in Palawan have been attending BOSH and COSH courses as part of their training requirement and compliance with DOLE.
