Palawan has been honored with the 13th position in Travel + Leisure’s prestigious list of the “25 Best Islands to Visit Around the World ”for 2024, achieving a commendable 90.59 Reader Score.

The International Travel Magazine‘s survey highlights Palawan’s exceptional natural beauty and abundant resources as key factors in its ranking.

The island offers a unique blend of breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage, including the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and the vibrant traditions of the Batak and Tagbanua Indigenous Peoples (IP) Communities.

According to the Travel + Leisure survey, “This thin island off the western coast of the Philippines is known for its unparalleled natural beauty, including limestone cliffs, lagoons, and rain forests.”

The Provincial Tourism Promotions and Development Office has expressed optimism that this accolade will further strengthen Palawan’s tourism sector, attracting more visitors to the region.

This recognition follows Palawan’s recent achievement in June, where it secured the third spot in Travel + Leisure’s Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024 for the Best Islands Category, reinforcing its status as a premier travel destination.
