Authorities in Puerto Princesa City arrested a man on May 8, 2025, in a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of illegal drugs and marked money. The suspect, who was identified by the alias “Buddy,” is a resident of Barangay Mangsee in Balabac, Palawan.
The operation took place in Barangay Bancao-Bancao, where undercover police officers conducted the transaction. Authorities seized a plastic sachet containing suspected methamphetamine, commonly known as shabu, which was sold to an undercover officer. In addition to the drugs, ₱1,500 in marked money was recovered from the suspect.
The man is currently in police custody, where he is awaiting formal charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act No. 9165).
