The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a weather advisory on Tuesday afternoon, October 10, predicting cloudy skies and scattered rain showers in Palawan, the Bicol region, the Visayas, and Mindanao.

These conditions are attributed to a low-pressure area (LPA) and Typhoon Bolaven, located outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

Typhoon Bolaven is currently situated approximately 2,300 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon, while the LPA has been traced around 1,285 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao.

PAGASA weather forecaster Chenel Dominguez explained that the low-pressure area may eventually become just a trough of Typhoon Bolaven.

With these weather conditions, residents and local authorities in the affected regions are urged to stay vigilant and prepared for possible heavy rainfall and associated weather disturbances that may impact their areas as PAGASA continues to monitor the situation and provide updates to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected communities.
