To strengthen security measures in the coastal areas and transport hubs of the city and province, representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard Maritime Security and Law Enforcement Command Headquarters Coast Guard K9 Field Operating Unit Palawan paid a courtesy call to the Provincial Government on October 10.

The visiting delegation included CG LTJG Raymart A. Frias, Commanding Officer of CGK9 Field Operating Unit Palawan; CG LTSG Almie S. Benigay, Veterinary Officer; and CG POI Valentino N. Banawa Jr.

They were warmly welcomed by the officials of the Provincial Peace and Order Program, led by Deputy Director Atty. Lara Mae O. Cacal.

During the meeting, the Provincial Government conveyed its endorsement of the initiatives undertaken by the Coast Guard K9 Field Operating Unit Palawan.

This specialized unit will assume a role in strengthening security standards within the city and province’s ports, terminals, and airports to address security challenges effectively and proactively, ensuring that Palawan remains safe and resilient in the face of various threats that may arise.
