Lubos na ikinalungkot ng mga nangangalaga ng Ursula Island Game Refuge and Sanctuary ang wala ng buhay na dugong.

Ayon sa nag-post ng mga larawan na si HARIBON-Palawan Chairman Boy Magallanes at isa sa mga miyembro ng PAMB Ursula, nabubulok na nang makita nila ang nasabing hayop na naanod sa baybayin ng isla.

“We need to protect them, monitor them alive forever. Always remember, dugongs help us more than other marine species being our underwater nutrient food cultivators maintaining biodiversity conservation thereby sustaining human food security requirements,” ang naging pabawagan ni Magallanes sa mga mamamayan.

Nakasaad din sa post ni Magallanes kahapon na agad na rin nilang inilibing ang nabanggit na dugong sa araw din mismo na makita ito.
