Nagsimula ng magtrabaho ang 55 mg kabataan na may edad 15-anyos pataas sa ibat-ibang departamento sa Pamahalaang Panlungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

Ang mga ito ay kasapi sa Student Program for Employment of Students (SPES) at magtatrabaho sila hanggang Hulyo 28.

Ang programa ay bunsod ng isang orientation na pinangunahan ng DTI Kanegosyo Center mula noong Hunyo 30- Hulyo 3.

Sa ilalim ng programa, ang mga kabataan ay itatalaga upang matrabaho mga ibat-ibang departamento ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod tulad ng Management Information System (MIS) Division ng City Mayor’s Office (CMO), City Treasurer’s Office, Business Permits and Licensing Division ng CMO, City Tourism Office, City Accounting Office, City Legal Office, City Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), City Administrator’s Office, at sa City Mayor’s Office sa New Green City Hall.

Ganun rin sa tanggapan sa Old City Hall ang City Civil Registrar’s Office, City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), Office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA), City Health Office (CHO), City PESO, at DTI Kanegosyo Center.

Ang SPES ay isang programa na pinagsasama-sama ng City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Layunin ng SPES na turuan ang mga kabataan sa mga gawain sa opisina ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa. Mahalaga rin na matutuhan ng mga kabataan ang tamang pakikitungo sa mga kliyente na pumupunta sa mga tanggapan araw-araw. Ang kanilang natutunan sa pagtatapos ng kanilang kurso ay malaking tulong para makapasok sila sa mga ahensya ng pamahalaan.

Malaking bahagi din ito sa mga kabataan ganun din sa mga opisina dahil hindi na mahihirapan ang mga tanggapan na turuan ang mga bagong empleyado sa mga tungkulin maaaring maging asset ang mga batang produkto ng SPES para sa mga tanggapan at institusyon na kanilang mapapasukan.
