The 3rd Marine Brigade/Joint Task Force Peacock began 2025 with the traditional New Year’s Call to Brigadier General Antonio G. Mangoroban Jr. PN(M), Commander of the 3rd Marine Brigade. This was followed by the first Command Conference of the year, held on January 21, 2025, at the 3rd Marine Brigade Headquarters in MBRP, Barangay Tiniguiban, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

The historic gathering was attended by officers and personnel from various units—organic, OPCON, and attached units—as well as reservists, Philippine Marine officers from Wescom, Naval Forces West, Trident West, and Civilian Human Resource staff. The event aimed to strengthen unity, camaraderie, and dedication to serving the nation.
A key part of the program was the presentation of the 2024 Annual Accomplishment Report of the 3MBDE/Joint Task Force Peacock. This highlighted the successes in security operations and the unit’s contributions to national development. It was followed by Brigadier General Mangoroban’s New Year’s Message and Command Guidance, which outlined the priorities and direction for 2025.

“As we move forward into 2025, I am confident that we will remain steadfast in our purpose. Our proven resiliency will be our ally, and our camaraderie will be our greatest strength in overcoming any challenges that lie ahead. Let us carry the spirit of unity and the hard-earned lessons of the past into the New Year, with renewed vigor and determination,” Brigadier General Mangoroban stated.

The program also included the formal promotion of Colonel Charlie A. Domingo Jr. PN(M)(GSC) as the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the 3rd Marine Brigade. Meanwhile, the exceptional service of Lieutenant Colonel Ryan F. Lacuesta PN(M), the outgoing Acting Chief of Staff, was recognized.

“What I am expecting is for us to exceed even more what we have done for the past year. Ours is a quest for never-ending perfection in our craft,” Mangoroban added.
The occasion reaffirmed the 3rd Marine Brigade’s dedication to its mission of peace and development, as it enters the new year with enthusiasm and higher aspirations.
