Wearing a smile as radiant as her crown, Mechelle Del Rosario of Narra emerged triumphant as she was named Mutya ng Palawan 2025, besting over two dozen other hopefuls from across the province during a glittering coronation ceremony held Saturday night at the PGP Convention Center.

Del Rosario, who represented the agricultural municipality of Narra, took home the title along with a ₱100,000 cash prize. Her grace, poise, and advocacy for community development earned her the admiration of both judges and the crowd.

The event, one of the highlights of the Baragatan Festival, drew a full house of guests, supporters, and local officials. The coronation night served not only as a celebration of beauty and talent but also as a showcase of Palawan’s cultural pride.

Joining Del Rosario on the royal court were:
• Althea Claire Parroco of San Vicente, crowned Mutya ng Baragatan;
• Sunshine Llaniguez of Magsaysay, named Mutya ng Turismo.
Both received ₱50,000 in cash prizes.
The First Runner-Up title was awarded to Richgie Mae Dalingding of Cuyo, who received ₱35,000, while Laksmi Escandor Toelle of Taytay claimed Second Runner-Up, earning ₱25,000.
Beyond the major titles, the competition also honored participants with a series of minor and corporate-sponsored awards—a nod to the pageant’s growing relevance as a platform for brand partnerships and regional promotion.
Here’s the full list of special awardees:
• Best in Festival Costume – Roxas (₱20,000)
• 1st Runner-Up, Festival Costume – Quezon (₱10,000)
• 2nd Runner-Up, Festival Costume – Busuanga (₱5,000)
• Best in Swimsuit – Sofronio Española (₱15,000)
• Best in Long Gown – Rizal (₱15,000)
• Miss Photogenic – Busuanga
• Miss Congeniality – Brooke’s Point
• Miss SM Store – Busuanga
• Miss Backride Ambassadress – Busuanga
• Miss DITO Choice – Roxas
• Miss Four Points by Sheraton – San Vicente
• Miss Pilates – El Nido

The pageant, a staple event during Palawan’s annual provincial festival, has long been a platform for empowering young women through representation, tourism ambassadorship, and cultural advocacy.

Del Rosario’s win not only reflects her individual charm and eloquence, but also shines a light on Narra’s growing prominence in the province’s cultural narrative.

As the new Mutya ng Palawan, Del Rosario is expected to take on a year-long role as a youth and tourism ambassador for the province—promoting local destinations, engaging in community programs, and embodying the values of leadership, beauty, and tradition.

This year’s edition, organizers noted, reflected the diversity and spirit of the province—stretching from the coral-fringed coasts of Cuyo to the upland farms of Brooke’s Point, stitched together by the dreams of empowered young women determined to represent their hometowns with pride.
