We have seen these kind of videos making rounds in social media, a van roaming around full of surprise gifts from a faraway love one who wants to greet a relative either family related or a fiancée, surprising her or him with balloons, cakes, stuff toys, decors and a bouquet of flowers with a lot of money.

That’s the latest business Palawan is now offering thru Recuerdo Surprise Gift Delivery Service, an online delivery portal intended to cater for Palaweños abroad or even from other parts of the country, who wish to send love to some people living or residing in the mainland island of Palawan.

Behind Recuerdo, which is coined from similar cuyonon word that means memory, is a pet project of former broadcaster Noriam Gabo aka Apple, who got the inspiration from his past act of asking favour from friends who live in Palawan to send something to her loved one on their special day such as birthdays, baptismal, wedding, anniversary and even funeral wake.

“Naisip ko ito kasi mahilig akong mag surprise sa mga friends and family members kapag may birthday sila or kapag may okasyon, nakikisuyo ako sa ibang tao para ma-surprise sila. Now in time of pandemic naisip ko na mas okay ang ganito na ide-deliver na lang sa kanila ang goods na galing sa relatives nila in a surprise way na hindi na sila lalabas ng bahay, hindi na delikado hindi na magwo-worry ang mga loves nila sa buhay sa ibang bansa,” Gabo said.

Recuerdo Surprise Gift Delivery Services supposed to operate this coming November, but due to some demands they already start working this last two weeks of October after securing some necessary permits and license.

Gabo who lives in Austria for many years and working as sales and event manager, understands the needs of overseas Filipinos especially those who are into long distance relationship. It is her way to share her knowledge in this latest venture.

“May mga story rin kasi na minsan kapag nagpapdala ang mga kamag-anak from abroad, nakukupit o nababawasan bago makarating sa recipient, or natanggap na pero after matangap wala ng balita, walang thank you, wala ring kumusta man lang,” Gabo shared.

According to Gabo, their packages start for as low as P6,000 compared to other surprise delivery services, she passionately design each packages depending on their clients’ needs and budget, and also open for some customization depending on the request, everything is well documented with photos and videos.

You can place your inquiry and quotation request, or check their packages thru this link Suprisegift.PH or reach them in their mobile numbers 0966-923-4602 or 961-468-8208.
