Nagpahayag ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) na mahigit 28 milyong SIM cards ang rehistrado na.

Sa naitala ng DICT nitong ika-1 ng Pebrero, umaabot sa kabuoang 28,052,265 SIM ang nairehistro na suma total sa 16.6% ng 168.97 milyong active SIM subscribers sa Pilipinas.

 

Nakapagtala ang Smart Communications, Inc., bilang pinakamarami sa nakapagparehistro na umabot na sa 14.39 milyon o katumbas ng 21.18% ng 67.99 milyong subscribers nito.

 

Ang Globe ay may mahigit 11.43 milyong registered SIM na o 13.01% ng kanilang 87.87 milyong subscribers habang 2.21 milyon naman sa Dito o 16.92% ng kanilang 13.1 milyong subscribers.

 

Ang SIM registration ay itinakda hanggang ika-26 ng Abril, 2023 lamang.

 

Ilan sa mga istratehiya ay ang puspusang pagtulong ng mga network companies para sa paghimok sa kanilang mga subscribers na magparehistro.

 

Ipinaabot na ng Globe ang kanilang pagkilos upang tumulong sa SIM Registration Assistance ng National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) na kung saan ay nakatukoy na sila ng 30 lugar sa bansa sa layuning maabot ang mas marami pang SIM users.

 

Bukas ang mga SIM Registration Assistance Desk ng naturang network sa lahat lalo na sa mga senior citizen, PWD, mga gumagamit ng basic o feature phone o yung mga walang access sa internet na kung saan ay kailangan lamang magdala ng isang valid government ID na may larawan ang SIM owner, kasabay ng paghanda ng buong pangalan, birthdate, kasarian, address, at mobile number.
