While a PUP graduate topped the examination, PSU alumnus Diana Jane Badua placed sixth, along with 4 others with a score of 85.40%.

In an interview with Ms. Badua, she shared her journey as an aspiring psychometrician. Her desire to take up Psychology was influenced by the popular anime ‘Detective Conan’. Unfortunately, her family did not share the same view as she does. “My parents weren’t so approving na mag take ako ng psychology. So I took another course instead, nag Dentistry ako sa CEU Manila”, she said.

But fate led her to eventually take up Psychology.

“I was depressed, as in I was diagnosed with depression. So from there, mas lalong nag-bloom ‘yung kagustuhan ko na to take ng Psychology, kasi naexperience ko how it feels.”, she said.

In the months leading up to the examinations, Ms. Badua reviewed ahead of time before review classes started, incorporating review sessions into her daily routine.

“Nagstart ako ng review for myself, self-review ako kasi di pa nagstart ‘yung review namin nung June, nagrereview na ako dito sa bahay by April,”, she added.

This is her advice for the next batch of Psychology graduates:

“They must use their time wisely kasi ‘yun lang ang sure na hawak nila at may control sila. Hangga’t maari even before graduation, they are [should be] already sure if they will take the board exam or not. Dapat buong-buo na ang loob bago pa man magstart ang actual review”, she said.
