Labing anim na aktibong kaso ng COVID-19 ang nakatala ngayon sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa matapos i-anunsyo ni City Incident Commander, Dr. Dean Palanca na positibo sa virus ang tatlong indibidwal na kabilang sa huling batch na nataggap nilang mga resulta mula sa Ospital ng Palawan.

Sa isinagawang online advisory ng City Information Department, sinabi ng opisyal na dalawa dito ang Persons Deprived of Liberty o PDLs at isa naman ang Locally Stranded Individual o LSI na umuwi sa lungsod mula sa Maynila.

“Mayroon kaming 27 samples na ginawa… ibig sabihin, 27 individuals na kinunan namin ng swab test. Ito ‘yong mga LSI na may sakit doon sa ating mga quarantine facilities ngayon at ‘yong iba po dyan ay mismong taga dito sa Puerto Princesa na reactive po sa Rapid Diagnostic Test,” ani Dr. Palanca.

“Kasama po sa 27 persons ‘yong ating mga prison guards at ‘yong mga prison inmates na ating ini-evaluate po bago natin ipasok sa ating mga prison jails. Out of 27 samples po na ating pina-examine sa Ospital ng Palawan COVID test facility, meron po tayong tatlo… tatlo na kumpirmadong may kaso po ng COVID,” dagdag ng health official.

Sinabi pa ni Palanca na ang dalawang PDLs ay parehong lalaki habang ang isa namang LSI ay 31 anyos na lalaki na umuwi sa lungsod noong June 28 lulan ng barko ng 2GO Travel.

Sa kasalukuyan ay naka-isolate narin anya ang tatlo na bagama’t mga asymptomatic ay patuloy nilang mino-monitor ang kondisyon ng tatlo kasama ng iba pang COVID-19 patients sa lungsod.

“Lahat po ng mga dumadating dito ay ating ini-examine kaya po ganito ang nangyayari at nagkakaroon tayo ng mga kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID. Ito po ay ating tina-try lahat n asana po ay agad na mapagaling natin para po sila ay makabalik narin sa community,” sabi pa ni Palanca.
