Puerto Princesa City, Palawan – A heartwarming outreach event unfolded on August 31, 2023, benefiting over 100 Badjao families who are recipients of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Purok 3, Brgy. Tagburos, Puerto Princesa City.

This initiative was part of a broader effort, the Civil Society Organization (CSO) Consultation and Learning Visit, organized by the 4Ps-Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) in collaboration with several non-profit organizations, spanning from August 30 to September 1.

This event drew participation from a range of CSO partners in Palawan, including Ligaya ng Buhay, Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc., National Auxiliary Chaplaincy Philippines (NACPHIL), Bethsaida, Metro Ormoc Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC), Tao Kalahi Foundation, International Care Ministries (ICM), Agape Rural Health Inc., and Amos Tara Community Center.

Activities during the event encompassed a Family Development Session (FDS) and a focus group discussion (FGD) skillfully led by Landbank PPC Branch and dedicated CSO volunteers. The occasion brought smiles to young beneficiaries through engaging activities like coloring, alongside informative sessions focusing on health. Each household receiving assistance also benefitted from essential medical and dental services.

Meanwhile, DSWD MIMAROPA also expressed profound gratitude to the Puerto Princesa City LGU, Tagburos BLGU, and several key partners who contributed significantly, namely; The City Health Office of PPC, The Western Command Armed Forces of the Philippines, Amos Tara, Yakult, Metro Ormoc Community MPC, ICM, Mega Prime Foods Inc., and Mister Donut.
