Paninita ng COVID Marshall sa pagsakay ng mahigit 1 pasahero sa tricycle, inirereklamo

Nananawagan ngayon ang Chairman ng Committee on Transportation sa Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa sa pamunuan ng COVID Marshall Program na makipag-ugnayan muna sa Sangguniang Panlungsod bago magpatupad ng ibang alituntunin na nagdudulot umano ng kalituhan sa mga tricycle driver.

Ayon kay Kgd. Jimbo Maristela sa sesyon kahapon ng Konseho, natanggap niya ang liham ng Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association sa siyudad sa pamamagitan ng kanilang presidente na si Efnie Lusoc  na humihiling na aksyunan ang ginawa umanong paninita ng ilang COVID Marshall sa pagsakay nila ng higit sa isang pasahero.

Sa nasabing liham ni Lusoc na may petsang Mayo 10, 2021 na naka-address kay Vice Mayor Maria Nancy Socrates na siya ring chairman ng City Tricycle Franchising and Regulatory Board (CTFRB) at copy furnished si Kgd. Maristela, sinabi umano ni Lusoc na ipinagtataka nila ang pagsita ng ilang COVID Marshall gayung may inaprubahang ordinansa ang City Council na nagpapahintulot na sa kanila na magsakay ng tatlong pasahero.

Ipinaliwanag ni Kagawad na sa ilalim ng City Ordinance No. 1111, kasabay ng pagbabalik sa P10 na minimum na pamasahe sa traysikel ay pinayagan din ang pagsakay ng tatlong pasahero basta’t may nakalagay na plastic barrier.

Sa ngayon ay nai-refer na sa Committee on Transportation ang nasabing liham upang matalakay ng mga kinauukulan at mabigyan ng kaukulang aksyon.

Matatandaan namang sa ilalim ng Guidelines ng DOTr para sa mga lugar na nasa GCQ status gaya ng Puerto Princesa ay isang pasahero lamang ang pinapayagan sa mga pampublikong traysikel.
