The two cathedrals under the two Apostolic Vicariates of the Province of Palawan formally opened their Jubilee doors yesterday, as the country celebrates the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines.

The Apostolic Vicariate of Puerto Princesa (AVPP), led by Bishop Socrates Mesiona, opened yesterday the jubilee door of the Immaculate Conception Cathedral (ICC) in Puerto Princesa City. The ICC Parish and the St. Joseph Marello Parish in Sitio Sabang, Bgy. Cabayugan, to be tentatively opened next week, are included in the roster of 500 Pilgrim Churches in the country.
