The Puerto Princesa City Jail (PPCJ) conducted Wednesday, April 8, a stress management seminar for its personnel aimed at helping them cope primarily with the daily stresses during the lockdown.
PPCJ community relations officer Jail Officer (JO1) Filly Erika Argueza said Friday 24 of them were placed in an absolute lockdown inside the facility since March 20 while some serve outside under their response team.
The stress management seminar focused on “telepsychology”, which was defined by the American Psychological Association (APA) as “provision of psychological services using telecommunication technologies”.
Kasi nag-a-alala tayo sa family natin,” said Argueza.
Argueza said there are five women and 19 men personnel who are now staying inside the jail facility.
She said this stress management training is in line with one of the advisories that came from their national headquarters as a means of mental support not only to the jail staff, but to the PDLs as well.
Meanwhile, Argueza also said the management has assigned an isolation area for the newly-committed PDLs.
