18 close contacts of COVID-19 Patient No. 169 test negative for COVID RT-PCR Test

The 18 individuals who had “close contact” with COVID-19 Patient No. 169 “tested negative for COVID RT-PCR Test”, the City Health Office (CHO) announced Friday.

Dr. Dean Palanca, the incident commander of Puerto Princesa Task Force for COVID-19, in a live video announcement through the official Facebook page of City Information Department (CID), said that with these test results they are recommending, effective afternoon of May 1, Friday, the lifting of the extreme enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Barangay Tanabag where Patient No. 169 used to live.

“Ngayong hapon po ay dumating na ang resulta ng ginawa nating examination na RT-PCR na ginawa natin dito sa ating mga individuals. 18 test results po, ito ay resulta na galing sa Manila through RT-PCR examinations. Ito po ay kinuha namin sa mga taong na-expose or na-link sa ating patient No. 169 na alam nating siya po ang ating nag-positibo sa COVID Disease,” said Palanca.

Dr. Palanca further stated they are continuing their efforts in tracing those individuals who have been exposed or linked to Patient No. 169.
