The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Palawan 3rd District Engineering Office has proudly announced the successful completion of the Multi-Purpose Building (Covered Court) in Barangay Santa Monica, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

According to DPWH MIMAROPA, the facility is designed to cater to a wide range of community needs and represents a substantial step forward in the department’s commitment to serving the local community.

The construction of this multi-purpose building was undertaken with a vision to create a central hub that could be used for various activities beneficial to the community.

According to a report submitted by Palawan 3rd District Engineer Amelia B. Fajardo to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, this newly established facility is expected to serve as a venue for sports and recreational activities, community gatherings, workshops, agricultural trade shows, and other civic events.

One of the standout features of the Multi-Purpose Building is its versatility. Not only will it host sports competitions and cultural gatherings, but it can also function as a temporary shelter for displaced families during calamities and other emergency situations.
