The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Puerto Princesa Oil, together with NCCC Mall Palawan and Palawan Daily News, are set to honor exemplary mothers in celebration of the Mother’s Day. The 5th Gawad Ulirang Ina – Palawan: Heroes of our Lives awards ceremony will take place on May 12, 2024 (Sunday), at 2:00 PM in the Activity Center of NCCC Mall Palawan, located on Lacao Street, Puerto Princesa City.
This event is made possible with the support of Tatak ni Tatang Printing Services, Pest Science Corporation, Petrosphere Inc, Puerto Princesa City Police Office, Connected Women – Palawan, and the Office of City Councilor Karl Aquino, President of Sangguniang Kabataan Federation.
The nominees for the “Ulirang Ina” award must demonstrate active community service by initiating projects that significantly impact their communities and workplaces while inspiring other mothers and women despite their busy careers. They must show that they prioritize both family and community, leaving a lasting impression. The primary requirement for nomination is being a mother.
The Wow Si Mom: Gawad Ulirang Ina aims to honor mothers who epitomize qualities worth emulating, including unconditional love for family, reinforcement of values, fostering family bonds, resilience in adversity, dedication to their roles, and positive contributions to society and human development.
Through these awards, the organizers aim to underscore the importance of strong families in building a strong community, with mothers playing a pivotal role. The goal is to inspire others to contribute to nation-building by emulating the examples set by these remarkable mothers.
Gawad Ulirang Ina will recognize outstanding mothers who serve as inspirations to many women and actively engage in community projects related to empowerment, such as those in health, education, politics, governance, environment, cultural preservation, music and arts, care for people with disabilities (PWD), including the deaf and mute, and public service.
