Senatorial candidate Baguilat, dumating na sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa

Dumating si former congressman Teddy Baguilat Jr. sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa ngayong araw, March 25.

Si Baguilat ay tumatakbo sa ilalim ng Senatorial Slate ni Presidential Candidate Leni Robredo at Vice Presidential Kiko Pangilinan.

Sa press conference sa Natripal Office, Barangay Bancao-Bancao, tinalakay ni Baguilat ang kaniyang plataporma at ang dahilan kung bakit ito tumakbo bilang senador.

Kilala ang katutubong kandidato sa pagsusulong ng karapatan ng mga katutubo, kultura, kalikasan, karapatan, at kabuhayan para umangat ang lahat. Sa kanyang pagtakbo bilang senador, nais umano nito na lahat ng mga katutubo ay makapagtapos ng edukasyon kaya isinusulong nito ang IP Education Act, at karapatan ng mga katutubo.

“Hikayatin natin ang mga kabataang katutubo na mag-aral kaya sinusulong natin ang batas na IP Education Act, importante ang education that’s the key to emphasize ko yong pormal collage education, nakikita ko kapag may isang bata na katutubo ang nakapagtapos ay siya yong mangunguna at magsasalita para doon sa kanilang tribo, I think also very important para maiwasan yong paghihikayat sa kanila ng makakaliwang grupo,” pahayag ni Baguilat.

Aniya dapat bigyang-pansin din ng pamahalaan at tutukan ang basic services at siguraduhin na ang mga katutubong kabataan ay makapagtapos ng kanilang pag-aaral.

Nais din nito na tutulan ang kalusugan ng mga katutubo, maging ang lupang ninuno na pag-aari ng mga ito.

Si Baguilat ay sinusuportahan nina SK Federation President Myka Mabelle Magbanua, City IPMR at Johnmark Salunday.
