In times of pandemic, people tend to become dependent on social media for business continuity and trade sustainment of living. It became the media of teaching for students as face-to-face classes were suspended. Online personality also maximizes these platforms as a source of income and to give entertainment.

Despite the wide range of benefits of social media, people tend to use it in wickedly.  Modern-day gossipers were branded as “ Marites” has been so prevalent that causes so much chaos in the platform. Social media if not used properly became a source or ways of conflict, security breaches, and crimes. Scams and hackings were trends that brought so many issues. This generation has been so anchored in what is trending what is in, that they tend to become impulsive. They believe in the standpoint of popular ones, without checking the facts. This has been their book on important matters, at some point it can be, but not all the time. As such, they easily access social issues and political issues at a budding age and became immersed in them. At this time, these youth should have been enjoying their youth and not as a puppet of somebody.

Misinformation has been prevalent which leads them to become blind to the good thing that is happening around them. With that, bolstered efforts to cascade and disseminate truthful and timely information to the younger one is important. So that they would be able to be mindful of their actions and correct their mindsets at an early age.
