“They we’re all healthy the night before that and then the next morning they we’re all dead. In this particular area [Port Barton] all three (3) dogs we’re together the same night and the next morning the owners came out and all three dogs have died.”

“Obviously there can’t be any accusations and this is why we’re saying ‘suspected poisoning’ all the symptoms of the dogs and all these dogs we’re owned they we’re properly vaccinated and the Street Dog Sanctuary sponsored free ligation and anti-rabies vaccines multiple times every year for Port Barton. So these dogs we’re all very strong and in very-very good condition the night that they went and they just seems very peculiar.”

“So we had experience with some poisoning here before and we hadn’t done autopsy. We weren’t able to get the dogs to the vet in Puerto Princesa so we can’t confirm that it is poison but it’s definitely looking all the symptoms for that particular reason.”

“We’ve also had lots of reports we get a lot of reports all over Palawan and we’ve heard lots of reports from Puerto Princesa, El Nido so it’s a little bit disturbing to be honest.” paliwanag ni Rob Martin ng Street Dog Sanctuary.

“Not yet because we’re still trying to find out the number of other dogs and it’s actually up to owners to turn around and report this to the barangay and to the police. So we’re in communication with the owners right now and we’re hoping that they will step forward and make a complaint.”

“I just want to say that it’s important that communities come together and if they’re seeing any mistreatment of animals and be not afraid or be shy to go and lay a complaint because if there’s an abuse situation or abandonment there are organizations out there that are prepared to help and we’re one of them. Please don’t be shy to reach out to people and ask for help.” -Rob Martin of Street Dog Sanctuary
