An impressive turnout of 90 students from San Vicente National High School (SVNHS) took part in a recent “Youth Savers’ Forum” held on October 22, which was organized by the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) and the LGU San Vicente and San Vicente Municipal Employees’ Multipurpose Cooperative.
The event’s primary objective was to impart essential knowledge about responsible financial management, savings, and investment to these eager participants.
During the forum, valuable insights were shared by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Palawan on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among the youth. The discussions also delved into topics such as Financial Literacy, Mental Health Awareness, effective savings and spending habits for financial success, and strategies for Youth Economic Empowerment.
The PCDO’s overarching aim is to inspire and motivate more students to become part of the KOOP-BATA program in San Vicente, empowering them with financial knowledge and promoting responsible financial practices.
