A total of 136,500 was allocated to indigent seniors while P324,000 was given to PWDs during the three-day payout.

The amounts are equivalent to a year of total social pension of each beneficiary.

The said program was facilitated by the office of PSWD that aims to financially help elderly and disabled Palaweños in sustaining their medical and other expenses.

The “Local Senior Pension Program for Indigent Senior Citizens and Indigent Persons with Disabilities,” initially started under former Palawan governor Jose Chavez Alvarez and is being continued by Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates at present.
