Provincial Information Officer (PIO) Atty. Christian Jay Cojamco on Friday, August 13, said that the Province of Palawan targets to vaccinate 600K Palaweños before the year 2021 ends.
“Ang target natin at least 600 thousand ang ma-vaccine before the year ends kasi may parating pa tayong mga vaccines [against COVID-19] from the National Government. Ito ‘yung hiningi ni Governor Jose Chavez Alvarez last last week pa kay Executive Secretary [Salvador] Medialdea.” Atty. Cojamco expressed.
According to Cojamco, Provincial Health Officer Dra. Faye Erika Labrador said yesterday, that a total of 52, 451 Palaweños are already fully inoculated. 17,494 people have been fully vaccinated with SinoVac, 5,915 and 29, 042 for AstraZeneca and Janssen respectively.
PIO also said that all frontliners as well as their immediate family were all fully vaccinated.
“May naiiwan na lang tayong kaunti [not fully vaccinated] sa A3 [priority group] at nagsimula na rin tayo sa A4 category.” He added.
