From a posted video of Taytay Palawan PCR to their Facebook account that lasted 3:34 minutes, uniformed men and women of PNP Taytay patiently lined-up near their checkpoint area for almost two hours and asked the motorists and passers-by to stop, not to inspect them but to give them presents and a warm greetings.
The public were delighted and wore smiles after receiving fresh flowers and chocolates.
PNP women were tasked to hand the presents to men and their counterpart PNP men did so to women.
Some of the government officials that were able to receive the PNP’s ‘Act of Love’ were Kgd. Rolando Catarbas and three personnel of Taytay Municipal Health Office.
“Taun-taon po naming ito ginagawa every Valentine’s Day po since 2014,” PNP Taytay said through a chat.
This year, the 40 flowers and chocolates were being sponsored by the chief of police of Taytay himself, the MESPO and PNCO.
For five years, the PNP in the Municipality of Taytay reiterated the relevance of the said activity, that is, to foster “good relationship with the public.”
