Palawan Chamber of Commerce calls for support and unity vs COVID-19

The association of businessmen in the province is calling for unity and cooperation with the local government in reaction to reports that there are still businesses that keep on operating amidst the enhanced quarantine implementation.

Palawan Chamber of Commerce President Jeff Armedilla called on everyone to abide by the quarantine rules.

“Sa panahon ngayon na isang malaking hamon at banta di lamang sa ating ekonomiya maging sa eksistensya ng sangkatauhan ako po ay nanawagan sa lahat na tayo ay sumunod sa ating pamahalaang lokal ng lungsod at ng probinsiya sa pagpapatupad ng Enhanced Community Quarantine.

“Sa aking mga kapwa negosyante, bilang Pangulo ng Palawan Chamber of Commerce, ako po ay maigting na nananawagan na tayo ay sama samang magsakripisyo muna. Ihinto muna natin ang ating mga operasyon maliban sa mga nagbibigay ng serbisyo na pangunahing pangangailanan ng kumunidad. Ramdam ko ang bigat at pasanin sa ating sakrispisyong ito ngunit napakalinaw din na ang pagpipilian ay ekonomiya o buhay ng mga tao. Buhay ng ating mga empleyado, kamag anak, kaibigan at mga kakilala na siyang pinakamahalaga sa lahat. Gayun pa man atin pa rin silang tulungan at suportahan kaagapay ang suportang ibinibigay ng ating pamahalaan. Ang tanging paraan Ilang masugpo ang Covid -19 ay kung maiiwasan ang paglilipat lipat nito sa tao. Kaya nga po kung wala naman tayong napakaimportanteng gagawin tayo ay manatili sa ating mga tahanan kapiling ang ating mga pamilya. Kunin na natin ang pagkakataong ito upang bigyan sila ng panahon at importansya.

“Walang ibang magtutulungan kundi tayo tayo rin lamang. Ang panahong ito ang susubok sa atin bilang mamamayan at sangkatauhan. Magkaisa po tayong labanan ang pagkalat ng lubhang delikado at nakakahawang sakit na ito. Tayo ay sama samang manalangin na sana ay maging ligtas ang ating bayan,lalawigan maging ang buong mundo. Manalig tayo sa Diyos at sa isat isa na malalagpasan natin ang krisis na ito.”
