Stakeholders from Manila donated assorted Christmas gifts for KIG Personnel

Naval Station Apolinario Jalandoon, Bgy. San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City Stakeholders from Manila–Isetann Department Store Inc., SM Prime, Truth and Justice Coalition and Mr. Nelson Guevarra, handed over 90 Noche Buena Package, 200 Hygiene Kits, 200 face shields, and a P90,000 check to Naval Forces West (NFW) in support to the Command’s morale and welfare objectives, particularly for the personnel deployed in the Philippine Held Kalayaan Island Group (KIG) Features in the West Philippine Sea and for COVID-19 frontline personnel.

The Assistant Deputy, Chief of Staff for Operations A/J3, Commodore Carlos V. Sabarre PN and MMDA Traffic Chief, Edison “Bong” Nebrija accompanied the donors and were welcomed by the Commander Naval Forces West, Commodore Renato P. David PN together with the NFW Staff. A simple symbolic Turn Over of donation at Antonio Bautista Air Base (ABAB), Puerto Princesa City, Palawan was conducted.

The Command is immensely grateful to the generosity of said establishments and individuals who made this donation possible. The benevolence means a lot to the men and women in uniform who draws strength from the people’s trust and support.

As the nation continues to fight COVID-19, the Naval Forces West was chosen to be the recipient of said donations due to the organization’s key role in defending the Country’s Western Frontier while battling against COVID-19. (NFW)
